Transparency, oversight, institutional knowledge and a breakdown in municipal worker relationships, among other concerns, mount with the specter of privatizing city safety, maintenance, and other contracts. Nick Anas, Chair of Orange County Young Democrats and Associate of Daily Consulting, speaks to the national Republican political strategy behind the lay-offs, including the presence of Grover Norquist. Nick also takes his newly trained, activist Young Democrats to the State Democratic Convention in Sacramento at the end of April.

Reverend Canon Albert Ogle, of the St. Paul Foundation for International Reconciliation, talks about the anti-gay legislation proposed in Uganda, and the hazards that it poses the LGBT community. He implicates Evangelical congregations in Orange County, CA, and challenges the current leadership of Exodus International for continuing to support a political movement that has resulted in extra judicial killing of gays.

The show closes with Dr. Nat Kurnick recollecting when at age 14 he saw FDR and later put in his first 70 years of voting.
